I did not have anything on my mind this whole week, so I wanted to write about Christmas. I hope that everyone has a great time with their family and a great Christmas. Not everyone has the chance to celebrate with their family and recieving gifts  so I hope that everyone is grateful for what they have and are given.

         The title means that the essay is going to be about why you should stay true to yourself and that you should be should be yourself. Emerson is trying to tell us that it is better to be ourselves than someone we aren't. He talks about how great it is to stay true to yourself and how bad it is to act like someone you are told to act like.         Emerson's main idea is supported by his tone. The tone in this essay is very bold and courageous. You can feel the way Emerson is talking and the emotion in his voice. He is very serious about what he believes in. When he says, "Hatred should be preached" he says it with confidence.         The diction Emerson uses also supports his main idea. Throughout the essay Emerson uses words that are not commonly used, and that are big or intelligent. These big words show that his statement, "you should be true to yourself" is meant to be taken seriously. I think that he is also using these big words  because he is

Joyner Lucas has recently dropped a new song called “I’m not racist.” This song is very inspirational and talks about the the problems between white and black people. This is my favorite song this year and I think everybody should listen to it because it shows the perspectives from both sides.

This month everybody in highschool will be taking finals including me. This always gets me nervous because I do not want my grades to go down. To take away these nervs I am going to study and do a lot of research on  stuff that will be in the finals.
