(1) What drew me to this story was to read about how blacks reacted and endured the hardships of racism and racial profiling. This is because racism still exists today, and I like rooting for the underdogs. I hoped to see action and to see the blacks stand up for their rights and what they believe. (2)As I kept reading I noticed how the black children would use slang language. They would use words that are not real, but are commonly used. I kept reading because I could relate and because I would also use fake words when I was younger. I also kept reading because I support race equality. Blacks are are the main target of racial profiling like Hispanics which I am and I feel like we both have a strong connection that other races don't because of it.
