THE PEDESTRIAN

The theme of "The Pedestrian" is that technology is ruining us. This is because nobody does any physical activities. Everybody is at home watching television while Leonard Mead is out walking.
         Bradbury gets the message across because he walked for thousands of miles and saw no one.
        In the tone of the story Leonard is a sympathetic character while the police is a jerk.
        More people don't walk in 2018 because we have transportation such as cars and planes. These things help us get to places faster.
        I think that self driving cars are very dangerous to be used. I would not trust a robot made by any person. People can die from these things.
       I think that technology has lead to both freedom and isolation. Newer technology has let us do whatever we want. We can go to any place we want with a plane or car, and we can see anything we want to see. It has also caused many to be in isolation because people love to keep using technology everyday. There are many who are obsessed with technology and they can't leave it for at least 1 hour.

      Fahrenheit 451 is a great book and there are connections between it and our lives in 2018.  This book shows us how much we can relate to the society Montag lives in, in 2018. This book can show others how valuable knowledge can be and how bad technology can affect us. The theme for this book is "How authorities attempt to control people." This is because just like in 2018 I believe that the people don't have the right to make major decisions. We are only allowed to vote for a president  to make these decisions, and even I think that he or she is being controlled by authorities.
