Fahrenheit 451

Ray Bradbury finds it more pleasurable to burn books than to read them because he is showing us how unimportant and useless books have become. Not many people like reading anymore and they take it for granite. He is performing reverse psychology to get our attention on the book or other books. Books are compared to birds because when the pages are being burned they look like a pigeon's wings. The Difference between Montag and Clarisse is that she is optimistic and curious while Montag does not care about his happiness and settles with a life in which he is not happy. The narrator wants to show us how a gloomy and depressed man becomes more emotional and opens up to the reader when he faces life changing events. He wants to show us how human emotions are can be triggered. The narrator introduces Clarisse first because she is shown as a voice or guide to get Montag to open up and let him know about having a sense of the world.

Post

I don't have anything to talk about so I will talk about the NFL. Judging from all the trades that have been happening it looks like the 49ers are going to be a very good team next year. As a Broncos fan I am excited to see how they will be a challenge to the NFL.

THE PEDESTRIAN

The theme of "The Pedestrian" is that technology is ruining us. This is because nobody does any physical activities. Everybody is at home watching television while Leonard Mead is out walking.          Bradbury gets the message across because he walked for thousands of miles and saw no one.         In the tone of the story Leonard is a sympathetic character while the police is a jerk.         More people don't walk in 2018 because we have transportation such as cars and planes. These things help us get to places faster.         I think that self driving cars are very dangerous to be used. I would not trust a robot made by any person. People can die from these things.        I think that technology has lead to both freedom and isolation. Newer technology has let us do whatever we want. We can go to any place we want with a plane or car, and we can see anything we want to see. It has also caused many to be in isolation because people love to keep using technology every

Big Question UPDATE (It has been changed for a couple weeks now)

I recently changed my big question. I have changed it to "How can I become a better football player for my school." I want to be better at something I love the most which is football.

INSIDE OUT

Prufrock and Gatsby are different because Gatsby is showing Daisy how much he loves her. Prufrock is doing the opposite and keeping himself from telling the girl he likes that he loves her. We see Gatsby as somebody who is obsessed with Daisy and is going after her no matter what, while Prufrock is keeping his love in secret. I have seen a lot of people like this in real life. For example, people who are not afraid to tell their crush they like them are like Gatsby, why people who don't tell their crush are like Prufrock.

What I learned in class

Yesterday I learned about financial aid, what it is, and how to get it. I also learned about how scholarships work and how to sign up for them. I also learned about what students think about this class and what should be changed.

WHAT I SEE IN LITERATURE

One example of imagery in The Great Gatsby was the green light outside Daisy's house. It represented Gatsby's unrequited dream with Daisy. Another example was the valley of ashes which represented to dark setting of the story. It was seen as a poor boring place which had nobody could like living in. The last example of imagery would be the presentation of every character. Each are your typical characters. For example, Daisy is the the typical naive woman. Tom is the jock who is also a jerk. Jay Gatsby is that cool guy, and Nick is the normal innocent main character. It is portrayed throughout the story and you get a gist of what each character represents

The Great Gatsby Essay

In The Great Gatsby  it is shown that Jay Gatsby was poor and would do anything to be with Daisy. He wanted to show her he was successful and that he deserves to be with her. This was his true desire. In order to succeed he first thought about what he would need to do to become successful in life. This is as some people would say "The American Dream." Something that Americans believe can be achieved through hard work and becoming successful. It is shown that he has done many things that would acknowledge him as being "successful." I would agree that his desire for success is defined from evidence of the American Dream and obsession.          Throughout the novel Jay Gatsby has shown that he is madly in love with Daisy. She was the main the reason Jay Gatsby wanted to be successful in life. Jay Gatsby strived to become rich in order to show Daisy he is worthy of being with her. This is evidence that the American Dream is part of his desire for success. B

My favorite music

My favorite type of music is rap. I don't like all rap music. I only like the songs that have a good beat, good wordplay, and great flow. This is the type of music that gets me motivated and makes me excited. I could not stand any other song that doesn't have these elements.
