Literature Analysis: Next Level.

(1) What drew me to this story was to read about how blacks reacted and endured the hardships of racism and racial profiling. This is because racism still exists today, and I like rooting for the underdogs. I hoped to see action and to see the blacks stand up for their rights and what they believe. (2)As I kept reading I noticed how the black children would use slang language. They would use words that are not real, but are commonly used. I kept reading because I could relate and because I would also use fake words when I was younger. I also kept reading because I support race equality. Blacks are are the main target of racial profiling like Hispanics which I am and I feel like we both have a strong connection that other races don't because of it. (3) I do not read very often because nowadays we have movies and television. It also does not take as long to watch a film than to read a book. Literature Analysis: Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry

1. The story is about a family who are discriminated by white people because of their dark brown skin. The family is called the Logan family and they work very hard to keep their farmland that they are proud of. The story shows the hardships that they face while being racially discriminated.It is being told by Cassie, the author. She is the daughter of the Logan family and the narrator. 2.The theme of the novel is "Be proud of who you are even if others are not"    This it the theme because Cassie, who is of dark skin, never regrets being dark skinned even thought she suffers from other because of it. 3.The tone in this story is very sad and serious. Throughout the story I can understand how blacks feel when they are being treated poorly. As I read the tone gets sadder and sadder because it perfectly details how they suffer. OKC for NBA Champs?!

Oklahoma City has gotten 2 great additions to their basketball team. These players are Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. They are some of the best players in the NBA right know. With these two teaming up with Russell Westbrook they will be an amazing and unstoppable team. With the NBA regular season coming up we will see how great this team is.

I have been listening to Montana of 300 for a couple of years now. He is my favorite rapper and I think he deserves more attention. He is very creative when he raps which is one of the reasons I like his music. He also uses amazing beats and has a good flow which others don't have. I think he is very underrated and that you should give him a chance.

I am 16 years old and I go to Santa Maria High School. I am in the 11th grade and play Varsity football for my school. I have played football for about 3 years and have watched it for about 6 years. I have seen incredible players in the NFL, but you have suprised and inspired me the most. I play linebacker and to see someone that is also a  linebacker and who makes it look easy and fun, makes me excited and proud to play football.
